DULUTH, Minn. - The Eyewitness StormTeam kept a close eye on a winter storm as it threatened the Northland mid-week. Milder temperatures brought a mixture of precipitation early, changing to snow as the temperatures dropped on Wednesday and the winds picked up.
Snow is expected to continue for the region through Thursday afternoon and the South Shore could get additional accumulations from Lake Effect. Click here for the latest Warnings and Advisories.
The snow on top of icy roads and walkways made for difficult travel Thursday morning. Many schools and special services were closed or delayed.
Here are snowfall totals (so far,) as reported to the National Weather Service in Duluth.
