DULUTH, Minn. - The first snowfall of the season should be a small one. That would give residents a chance to ease into what winter has in store.  However our first snowstorm on October 27 brought more than we expected. The snow piled up quickly causing problems for the Friday morning commute. There were numerous accidents across the region and strong winds reduced visibility and brought down power lines.

The winds churned up Lake Superior causing damage to the Lakewalk in Duluth, the boat house at Glensheen and caused flooding along Highway 2 in Ashland County.

The Eyewitness StormTeam asks viewers to email or share weather pictures from the storm with WDIO. The pictures are often used LIVE during our weather forecasts and then shared on one or more of our social media platforms.
