Every Tuesday night throughout the year there is a mountain bike ride just for women. They leave the spouses and kids behind and the ladies hit the trails.
"I think it's just something to look forward to every week," Jacey Kufahl said. "There's always a lot of good conversations, comradery, good skills practicing, and a good work out every time."
The organizers said you don't have to have any experience.
"It's for ladies that are intimidated, afraid to get started in mountain biking," Dee Bartlam said. "This gives them a place to start in a very encouraging atmosphere."
More importantly, it's about meeting women in the community.
"It's been really great for women who are moving to our community and not knowing other ladies or where the trails are they can ride with us and meet other gals," Bartlam said.
They form meaningful relationships with each ride.
"The dynamic with women is incredible," Bartlam said. "The friendships that form even in a one and a half to two hour time frame of being out riding. It's incredible the bonds that form."
