Storm Causes Massive Waves on Lake Ontario

People in the Northland are used to seeing big waves on Lake Superior, but the sights of a winter storm hitting Lake Ontario are also impressive.

Our sister station WHEC-TV captured video of the wind-whipped waves crashing along the shore near Beattie Beach during Tuesday's storm. Winds along the lake were reaching 40 miles per hour.

Some people braved the wind and snow to capture pictures of the waves and icy structures along the shoreline.
