StormTeam Outlook: Sunday, January 14th
Winter Weather Advisories Issued for Snow
Snow has broken out in the Northland, including in the Twin Ports, and it will hang around through at least the rest of the day. Most of us will see about 1 to 3 inches by tonight, but folks along the North Shore could see between 3 and 5 inches by tomorrow morning. In addition, those along the South Shore will see heavier snow tomorrow where some areas could see an added 6 inches. The higher forecasted snow totals have caused the National Weather Service to issue Winter Weather Advisories for both areas of the South Shore and shoreline communities of the North Shore.
That disturbance is also bringing snow to the Twin Cities. So for anyone who is heading down to the Vikings game, make sure you give yourself some extra time on the roads, both to and from the game.
Colder temperatures tonight and increasing winds will create dangerous win chill once again, especially west of the Twin Ports and along the Iron Range. However, warmer temperatures are in store by the middle of the week.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the rest to your weekend!
