Ashland Sisters Earn Spots at Wisconsin State Tennis Tournament

Ashland, Wisc. - A set of sisters from Ashland will represent their school at the upcoming Wisconsin State Girls Tennis tournament held in Madison this week. They are Taylor Vyskocil and Sydney Vyskocil.

Taylor, a sophomore, plays #1 singles for the Oredockers and has a 20-2 record. She was second in the Division 2 Sectionals that were recently held in Baldwin. Taylor went undefeated in Lake Superior Conference matches this season.

Her sister Sydney is a senior and she plays #2 Singles for the Oredockers. She holds a 22-2 Record and finished third in the Division 2 Sectionals. She had just one loss in conference matches this season. For Sydney, this will be her second trip to state as she qualified two years ago in Doubles with her partner Lexi Leciejewski.

The Vyskocil sisters left for Madison on Wednesday afternoon and both play at 5:00 pm Thursday in the first round at State.
