UMD has more representatives on the U.S. National Junior Team preliminary roster than any other school in the country.

The group is auditioning for a spot to skate for the United States at the 2018 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship that will take place Dec. 26, 2017 - Jan. 5, 2018 in Buffalo, N.Y.

The five Bulldogs will attend the U.S. National Junior Team's pre-tournament camp on Dec. 15-19 at Nationwide Arena and the OhioHealth Ice Haus in Columbus, Ohio, followed by an additional camp in Jamestown, N.Y. from Dec. 20-23.

The most Bulldogs to ever take part in the same IIHF World Junior Championship was three at the 1982 event.

That final roster is scheduled to be announced on Dec. 23.
