Shepard was named the Ledyard Classic's Most Valuable Player after turning aside 70 of 72 shots in the two games played on the weekend. He made 29 saves in a 5-0 victory over Yale on Friday afternoon for his third shutout of the season and career and then was credited with a career-high 41 stops as UMD and Dartmouth battled to a 2-2 overtime time in the title game.

The 41 saves against Dartmouth marks the most saves by a Bulldog since the Feb. 26, 2016.

The Bulldogs are back in action Jan. 12 and 13 returning to NCHC play as UMD will visit Colorado College.
