At the Lake Superior Conference Track and Field Championship on Thursday, White broke the LSC Discus record with a throw of 122'8". The old record was 118'8" set by Lonyll Seeley of Two Harbors in 2004. She also holds the NBC Spartan Track record in the discus with 122'8" and the shot put with a distance of 33' 1". Both these records were set on Thursday and earned her first place finishes in the LSC meet.

"I've been focusing on the records probably since I was a sophomore," said White. "I told my coach I was going to get those records one day and he said okay. So, we've always been focused on them and it was just really exciting."

Track and field isn't the only event White excels at. She won the amateur world title in boxing last year. She plans to continue training in the ring at the Golden Gloves Boxing Inc. in St. Cloud, while hoping to learn and contribute to the Huskies in her field events.
