The win is the first of the season for the Storm as they improve to 1-7.

The Spartans fell to 1-4.

The game also served as the backdrop for the senior project for forward Alee Milinkovich-Gray. It was the second annual Ugly Sweater Night as the Spartans wore 'Holiday-Style' jerseys. Fans were asked to bring non-perishable food items.

"The team is helping out and everyone is just helping out and the parents and team and coaches. Raffles, 50-50 and chuck-a-puck and all the money will be donated to families that need help around Christmas," says Milinkovich-Gray.
