Four-Goal Second Period Lifts Duluth Denfeld to First Win of the Season

The Duluth Denfeld boys' hockey team was looking bounce back after dropping their season opener as they hosted Red Wing Saturday afternoon.

The Hunters would find themselves down 2-1 in the first period, but a goal by Jake Marciniak would tie it up early in the second period. Marciniak had another goal earlier in the contest.

Later in the 2nd period, Hunters were on a roll after Jacob Johnson notched a goal and shortly after Luke Ellefson would score to make it 4-2.

Jacob Eskola would add another goal late in the 2nd period.

Duluth Denfeld would get the 5-3 victory. It also was the first victory of the season for new bench boss Dale Jago.
