Upcoming Fights for Duluth Pro Boxers Laase and Morris

Hinckley, Minnesota is no where near Jurassic Park, but a T-Rex will be in Hinckley on Friday and he's hungry! Pro boxer RJ 'T-Rex' Laase of Duluth returns to the ring.

The card at Grand Casino will also include the debut of Duluth's Tony Palmisano and doors open at 7:00 p.m. Laase (12-3) is looking to snap the first losing streak of his career as he is coming off back-to-back losses, both by decision. His last win was in 2014 and he's looking to have his hand raised at the expense of Jacob Fox (2-4) of Fort Yates, North Dakota.

"I just don't plan on letting this one go to the cards, I really don't. I do want to knock him out, stopping him, whatever, y'know," says Laase.

Laase's stablemate Markus Morris has had a memorable few months. His daughter was recently born and he won the Minnesota State Junior Welterweight Title back in November. A week from Friday on April 28th, Morris (10-2) fights in the Los Angeles area against unbeaten Arnold Barboza Jr. (15-0). The bout is part of a card put on by the Top Rank promotion.

"I know he is a good, technical sound boxer and my plan is to come and bring the fight to him the whole eight rounds, if it goes the eight rounds," says Morris.
