Duluth's Broman Brothers, Winthrop to Face Butler in NCAA Div. 1 Men's Tourney

Anders Broman and Bjorn Broman of Duluth will compete in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament this week as members of the 13th seeded Winthrop Eagles.

Anders is a junior guard and Bjorn is a sophomore guard for the Eagles. Both were prep standouts at Lakeview Christian Academy in Duluth. Anders is Minnesota's All-Time Leading Scorer in prep basketball while Bjorn is second on the all-time list.

The Eagles (26-6) will face fourth seeded Butler (23-8) in the first round of the tournament on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. central time at BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Winthrop is based in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The Eagles earned their spot by winning the Big South Conference Tournament.
