Despite going undrafted, the former Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball forward was invited to the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks training camp, she tells Lindsey Pallares of ABC-TV affiliate ‏WBAY in Green Bay.

Lindstrom will join the team in Los Angeles for the beginning of camp on April 29.

Lindstrom spent four seasons with the Green Bay Phoenix and a tallied a school record 41 in her career. She was also dominant on the boards. She is the only player in Green Bay's Division 1 history to grab 900 rebounds.

Lindstrom was named first-team All-Horizon League as well as an all-defensive team selection in her senior season.

When WBAY spoke to Lindstrom prior to the WNBA Draft, she was prepared to go overseas to continue her professional basketball career. For now, she's excited to stay stateside.

"This is really awesome you know, there's a lot of things that come into your life that are unpredictable," Jessica Lindstrom said. "I think you just have to be ready to act on it. I think Coach Borseth said something about fate and you have to be ready when it comes, when it hits you, and this is definitely it because it's not something anybody really thought about, but then once it came I was like, 'Ok, I'm ready.'"
