Duluth Marshall, Hermantown Get Wins on Day 1 of Hilltopper Holiday Classic

Duluth, Minn. - Wayzata, Hermantown, Brainerd and Duluth Marshall all picked up wins on Day 1 of the 2017 Hilltopper Holiday Classic at MARS Lakeview Arena.

#10 Wayzata started the day off with a 5-1 win over #13 Cloquet-Esko-Carlton.

#2 Hermantown shut out Roseville 4-0.

Brainerd knocked off Bemidji 6-1.

In the Day 1 finale, Duluth Marshall shut out Anoka 6-0.

On Thursday, Wayzata and Hermantown will meet in the semifinals at 5:45 p.m. while Duluth Marshall faces Brainerd in the other semifinal, which is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

Cloquet-Esko-Carlton will face Roseville in the consolation semifinals at 1:00 p.m. while Bemidji faces Anoka at 3:15 p.m. in the other consolation semifinal.

The tournament wraps up on Friday.
