Grandma's Weekend, which includes Grandma’s Marathon, the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon and William A. Irvin 5K, will open registration at 5 p.m. on October 1, 2017. This is the third year that registration for all three races will open on the same day.

Entries for Grandma’s Marathon will be taken on a first come, first serve basis until the race reaches 9,000 participants. Those who register to run the 26.2-mile race before December 31 will receive a commemorative full zip jacket free of charge. After December 31, runners will have the option to purchase the jacket at a discounted price.

For the first time since 1993, the entry process for the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon will no longer include a lottery. Registration will be conducted on a first come, first registered basis until the race capacity is filled at 7,500 participants. The half marathon is expected to reach capacity very quickly.

The William A. Irvin 5K is limited to the first 2,000 participants. The 3.1-mile racecourse features a tour through Canal Park and all finishers will be awarded a medal and finisher shirt.

The entry fee for Grandma’s Marathon starts at $110, the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon fee is $95, and the William A. Irvin 5K fee starts at $35. There are price increases scheduled until the race limits are met. See below for the detailed fee structure.

Those looking for the ultimate race experience are invited to take the Great Grandma’s Challenge, which pairs the 5K with either the full or half marathon. Registration for the Great Grandma’s Challenge is limited to the first 500 individuals for each race and will also be available starting October 1. Half marathon challengers are guaranteed entry into the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon.

Registration for the three weekend races and the Great Grandma’s Challenge will be available online at www.GrandmasMarathon.com. For more information, contact Grandma’s Marathon at 218-727-0947 or grandmas@grandmasmarathon.com.
