In their 10th annual year the United Northern Sportsmen's Club and the Lake Superior Chapter of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association provided stations teaching youth about outdoor activities.

Kids had the opportunity to take a shot on the trap range, hit the bullseye at the archery station, and learn safety skills involved when climbing into a deer stand.

"What's important today is to get them outside and learn how to use things properly. Maybe they've never shot a 22. They get to experience a powder rifle, that's really neat, pick up a bow and arrow or shoot a clay pigeon. It's really just a chance for our two groups to support the education of our outdoor sports," said Paul Pedersen, a Co-Chair of the club.
