St. Paul, Minn. - It was the tale of two completely different teams as Duluth East made their 23rd overall appearance in the State Boy's Hockey Tournament while this was St. Michael-Albertville's first-ever trip to the X. Once Garrett Worth found the back of the net, confidence carried over to he and his teammates offensively putting a total of five goals and then defensively Parker Kleive completed the total package, stopping 28 of 28 saves in the 5-0 win.

"Our 'D' has been unbelievable all year and when we start with our 'D', it carries over to our 'O' and like you saw out their tonight, we were just clicking," said Worth.

"He's (Worth) got a 'C' on his jersey for a reason. He's a team guy and he knows what it takes to be successful," says Head Coach Mike Randolph.

"We made it (to state) my freshman year and obviously back then, you were kind of chipping pucks and hoping not to turn it over, but as seniors, it is kind of a different story. My teammates give me the puck and they do an unbelievable job and it is a lot of fun with those guys," says Worth.

That year, which was 2015, the Greyhounds defeated Edina in the State AA Semifinals and went to play in the Title Game. This year, East will face Edina in the State AA Semifinals again. They'll battle at 6 p.m. on Friday. The game will be televised in the Northland on WDIO/WIRT.
