The Zion Lutheran Church hosted the "Disabled American Veterans" Thanksgiving dinner for the first time ever.

Organizers said this new tradition is meant to bring the community together.

"We are really looking to support people who are in an unfortunate circumstance, or people that are lonely and do not have anywhere to go for Thanksgiving," organizer, Raffy Johnson said.  "And that's really important to us and its important to the church."

They say more than 60 people volunteered their time to make this happen. Deliveries were made to those who couldn't show up as well.
