The event helps couples plan their wedding day by showing them the latest styles, trends, and traditions. It has grown from 35 exhibitors at the DECC's Paulucci Hall to nearly 150 today in six rooms at the DECC.

There was even a surprise engagement at the event.

"I just heard a lot of people cheering and then I was like, 'okay there's something going on here because it's not just me,'" said Hailey Johnson, whose boyfriend, Brady Nash proposed to her at the event. "I wasn't really expecting it," she said.

Nash says he had been planning the surprise engagement for five months.

"That was a huge moment," said Nash. "I didn't know if it would click right away (with Hailey) that this is real."
