A man has been sentenced to more than 35 years in prison for a murder on the Fond du Lac Reservation.

Thirty-four-year-old Wayne Bosto admitted to the fatal shooting at a court hearing in September, pleading guilty to second-degree murder as part of a plea agreement.

The crime took place in December 2016. Bosto shot a 36-year-old John Korby, a father of six, five times.

Bosto will get credit for time he's spent in the Carlton County Jail since the shooting.

Bosto's criminal history in Minnesota includes convictions for assault, robbery, drunken driving, drug possession and disorderly conduct.
