The St. Louis County Sheriff's department said it all started when the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force attempted to stop the suspect at a gas station in Hibbing.

This was around 6pm on Wednesday. They say the 29-year-old has several felony warrants, including felon in possession of a firearm and multiple drug offenses.

According to the department, the suspect fled, crossing into both Itasca and Koochiching Counties, for a total of about an hour, and traveling about 90 miles.

It ended back in St. Louis County, when officers deployed tire deflation devices and a Precision Immobilization Technique (P.I.T.).

The suspect is expected to be charged on Friday.
