Jim Paine is now mayor of Superior. Earlier this month, he was elected to finish out former Mayor Bruce Hagen's term. Paine says issues that are important to him include housing stock and jobs.

"We have a lot to accomplish together. Our city faces some very real challenges in the coming days, months and years. But as I said time and time again during the campaign, our opportunities are greater than our challenges," Paine said.

New councilors Jennifer Van Sickle and Craig Sutherland were also sworn in Tuesday.
