St. Scholastica Holds Spring Commencement

The College of St. Scholastica held its spring 2017 commencement ceremony Saturday.

897 total candidates graduated from the College. The graduates included 586 undergraduate students, and 311 graduate students. 668 students were expected to participate in the commencement ceremony.

The ceremony was held in Amsoil Arena at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.

Federal judge Patrick Schiltz delivered the commencement address. Judge Schiltz graduated from The College of St. Scholastica in 1981. He is a current United States District Judge, District of Minnesota.

The student address was given by Corey Bardon. Bardon is a 2017 Leadership Award Recipient.

Among the undergraduates, the most popular majors are nursing, with 191 candidates for graduation, health information management, with 54 graduating candidates, and social work, with 51 graduating candidates.
