Captains Teri and Bryan Ellison just finished up their first full week.

"It's been going really well. We are looking forward to working with the transitional housing, emergency services, and the food program," Teri explained.

They came just in time for the July Challenge to End Hunger. Money donated to the Army's food shelf will be matched, up to $5,000.

"It's always hard for me to imagine someone being hungry," Bryan told us.

He also plans on focusing on the Rookie Basketball program.

The Ellisons are from Minnesota. And they have parents who still live about an hour south of Duluth.

They had been assigned to a town in Illinois, and served there for five years.

"Change is difficult. It was hard to separate from our last appointment. But the people here have been wonderful. And it helps tremendously that both of our parents are an hour south of here. Pretty much where we grew up," Bryan added.
