United Campus Ministries on Sunday held a walk to raise awareness of the global hunger epidemic. Sunday's event was part of an annual "Crop Hunger Walk". The walk spaned over a mile.

This year's walk was held at Bagley Nature Center near University of Minnesota Duluth.

Due to the snow covered trail, participants added some creative activities. There was sledding and marshmallow roasting.

The one-mile-trail was decorated with facts, educating everyone on the issue of world hunger.

A portion of the proceeds from Sunday's event goes to local food shelves and soup kitchens. The rest of the proceeds will be donated globally.
