The Head of the Lakes Fair in Superior started Tuesday. This year they hoped to bring new attractions to the fair to increase interest.
Organizers said there is a brand new carnival and midway with 21 rides. The fair manager, Crash Carlson, said it's the largest midway in the Northland. He said he worked with a group of people to find ways to make improvements to the fair this year.
"We had like four meeting with friends of the fair to try and make it better for everyone and I think that went over great and we'll do it again next year," Carlson said.
There are a lot of different events going on at the fair until Sunday. There are races Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday is Kids' day and there is 4-H judging. The 4-H beef auction is Thursday. There will also be games, hay rides, live music, and many different options for fair food.
