House Explodes in Rural Itasca County, Minor Injuries Reported

Authorities say an adult woman has minor injuries after a house exploded on Arbo Road in rural Itasca County.

The Itasca County Sheriff's Office responded at about 9 a.m. Tuesday morning to a house that had exploded and was on fire. One adult woman was inside at the time. 

The Grand Rapids Fire Department, Cohasset Fire Department, Trout Lake Fire Department and Minnesota DNR Wildfire crew helped fight the fire. 

According to Itasca County Sheriff Vic Williams, the cause of the explosion is unknown. The Minnesota Fire Marshal is investigating.
