After more than a month of searching, authorities say a missing International Falls teenager is safe after being found in North Dakota.

Thirteen-year-old Gary Allen Tilander was last known to be in Bemidji, but hadn't been seen since Feb. 22. Family members, friends, and authorities had conducted searches in Bemidji and in areas between Bemidji and International Falls.

Authorities did not release any more information on where Tilander has been other than to say he is safe.

The Bemidji Police Department thanks the public for all the information provided which helped to ensure Gary’s safe return home.
