The CEO of Gander Outdoors says their goal is to open stores in Hermantown and several other Minnesota cities by the end of May.
Marcus Lemonis did not give exact dates of store openings in his announcement, made in a video posted to Twitter, but indicated that plans were to open them in the order he announced.
Hermantown was near the top of the list, with Bemidji, Baxter, and Forest Lake farther down. A store in Lakeville is already open.
"We feel that this is a list that is very solid, ready to go," Lemonis said on the video.
Gander Outdoors is opening in many former Gander Mountain locations after their closure last year. The redesigned stores will be divided into three sections: hunting and shooting; fishing and boating; and biking, hiking, kayaking, and skateboarding.
The list of the @ganderoutdoors stores is now live. They are starting to open. They will all be open by end of May https://t.co/Lxbjp3LSkD
