Embarrass House Fire Results in Total Loss

EMBARRASS, Minn. - A house is a total loss after a fire Friday night in Embarrass Township.

Crews from multiple agencies responded to the fire at a residential house on the 5300 block of Nikula Road. The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says a neighbor saw the fire and called 9-1-1.

No one was inside the house at the time of the fire. The sheriff's office believes the cause was from an outside wood stove that transferred to the residence.

Members from the Embarrass, Pike-Sandy, Vermilion Lake, Aurora, Babbitt fire departments, as well as Babbitt Ambulance Service and Minnesota DNR, all responded.
