Glensheen Hosts Duluth Winter Village

DULUTH - Saturday was the first day of the second annual Duluth Winter Village at the Glensheen Mansion. The event is a free two-day festival designed around small businesses, and the holiday season in Duluth.

There were over 40 small businesses on site that, some of which included Whimsy, Spirit Bay, Frost River, Bent Paddle, and more. 

"You can shop local, drink local, hang out outside, and enjoy the nice weather," said Mallory Moore, Duluth Winter Village Director. 

Over 5,000 people showed up to shop and enjoy food and beverages, campfires, s'mores, live animals, people singing Christmas carols, and more, Moore said.  

The event will continue on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There are free shuttles being offered at UMD's Parking Lot B that people are encouraged to use. They will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
