Name of Woman Killed in London Road Crash Released; Suspect Held

Duluth Police have identified the pedestrian killed in Tuesday's crash along London Road as 62-year-old Donna Ruth Estrem of Duluth.

Police say a vehicle driven by a 49-year-old Superior woman struck Estrem. Estrem died at the scene of the crash, which appeared to be several feet off the road near a stoplight at the 40th Avenue East intersection.

Officers suspected the driver was impaired, and took her to a hospital for a blood test. She is being held at the St. Louis County Jail on possible charges of criminal vehicular homicide.

Officers diverted traffic for several hours and set up a tent over the crash site.
