Level III Predatory Sex Offender Moves into Virginia

VIRGINIA, Minn. - The Virginia Police Department would like to notify residents that a Level III Predatory Sex Offender will be moving into a Virginia neighborhood. David Charles Workman will be released on Tuesday, July 11.

Workman is 55 years old, with blue eyes and brown hair. He is 5' 7" tall and 197 pounds. Authorities say Workman will be living on Chestnut Street in Virginia.

He has a history of possessing child pornography and has had sexual contact with girls under the age of 10. According to the Notification of Release Fact Sheet, Workman used his position of authority to gain compliance from his victims. He did not know them.

The Virginia Police Department releases information about offenders pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 244.052. The statute authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sexual or predatory offender's release from prison or a secure treatment facility when the Virginia Police Department believes that the release of information will enhance public safety and protection.
