The crash happened at about 3:45 p.m. on Highway 61 in the West Cook Unorganized Territory, which is east of Grand Marais.

The Patrol says the 17-year-old Grand Marais female was driving an eastbound Honda Civic that rear-ended an eastbound Cadillac CTS. The Cadillac was slowing to a stop because a school bus was unloading children.

The teen was taken to Cook County Hospital. The extent of her injuries was not indicated in a State Patrol report.

The driver and passenger of the Cadillac, who are from Thunder Bay, were not injured.
