Update: Coast Guard Suspends Search, Calls it False Alarm

The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended the search for a possible person near Knife River. An official with the Coast Guard Station in Duluth explained that it was a false alarm.

The guard says a woman called around 3 p.m. Tuesday, reporting that she saw someone in the water at 10 p.m. Monday.

A Coast Guard vessel and helicopter were conducting the search. No body has been located at this hour.
