Police Searching for Suspect in Cloquet Stabbing

CLOQUET, Minn. - Police are searching for a suspect who they say assaulted a 37-year-old man Wednesday night.

Police first responded at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to the report of a patient at Cloquet Community Memorial Hospital with two stab wounds in his abdomen and arm. They then determined the victim was stabbed on the 1800 block of Washington Avenue.

The victim was later taken to St. Luke's hospital. His medical status is unknown, but police believe his injuries are non-life threatening.

Police believe the suspect and victim knew each other, and there is no threat to the public. The suspect is not in custody, though.
