"Just seeing the community come together is so great to see families and kids get excited to come out and see Santa," said Lindsey Jacobson, Superior Business Improvement District Executive Director.

Mayor Jim Paine and Santa Claus lit the tree. It will be lit at night all holiday season for people to see. Santa also handed out candy canes. Food and refreshments were offered with holiday carols being played.

Northwest Wisconsin Community Services Agency collected non-perishable food items.

The event used to be held at the government center before Center City Park was renovated.
