Blatnik Bridge Reopens Again After Traffic Incident

The Blatnik Bridge has reopened for the second time Thursday.

First, four cars were involved in two separate crashes on the northbound lanes of the bridge around 6:20 a.m.  The northbound (Duluth-bound) lanes were blocked while Superior Police worked to clear the accidents.

Officers cleared the crashes by 7:25 a.m. and the bridge opened to traffic.

Then, another crash around 8 a.m. forced the northbound lanes of the bridge to be closed again.  It reopened again by 9:30.

The Blatnik Bridge is also known as I-535 and U.S. Highway 53.
