The ISD 728 School Board voted Thursday to offer the position to Dr. Daniel Brittman, the superintendent of Sauk Rapids-Rice ISD 47.

The search was first narrowed down to six candidates on Monday. The board named three final candidates, including Gronseth, on Wednesday. He was part of the final interview process -- spending a day with students, staff, teachers and community members.

Gronseth was also recently named as one of the top five finalists for superintendent of the White Bear School District. No final decision has been made on that position yet.
