Calling All Blood Donors; March Blood Drive

Memorial Blood Centers will be holding a March Blood Drive across the Northland. Organizers say the need for blood is constant, but the supply is not. Every 2 seconds someone needs blood.

According to Memorial Blood Centers, donating blood is convenient and safe. They ask that you be:

  • In good health
  • Free of antibiotics for 24 hours, unless you are taking for a skin condition
  • Symptom-free for a least 3 days following a cold or flu
  • 17 years or older - 16 with written parental consent

All types of blood are needed - especially O negative (O-) and O positive (O+).
