Willard or Bill Nelson danced along to the music and enjoyed cupcakes with friends at the Ecumen Scenic Shores Care Center in Two Harbors for his celebration.

Nelson was born in Rhinelander, Wisc. and traveled to Lutsen by boat.  He later spent a few years in the army with the 125th field artillery.  He is the last living grandchild of the founding father of the Lutsen Resort.

"As long as I can talk, I'll look up there and thank him," Nelson said when asked how he felt being 103.

Happy birthday from all of us, Bill.
