A suspect driving a stolen vehicle led authorities on a chase through Proctor early Wednesday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says they assisted Fond du Lac Tribal Police and the St. Louis County Sheriff's Department with the pursuit. A state trooper used a technique to try to stop the car twice, and the second time it drove off the road, crashed through a fence and hit a power pole, troopers said.

Both the trooper's car and the stolen car were damaged, but there were no reported injuries.

The state patrol said the car was stolen in St. Louis County, but the tribal police were the lead agency.

No one was available at that department Wednesday afternoon to provide further details.
