Superior residents rallied for a minimum wage increase on Thursday.

Two groups, Citizen Action of Wisconsin and We Are Wisconsin, organized the protest. They marched to the Douglas County Courthouse, saying the goal was to hold Rep. Sean Duffy accountable for opposing the minimum wage increase.

Graham Garfield, a field organizer for We Are Wisconsin, said the $10.10 minimum wage proposed by President Obama is not as radical as some people think.

"If you look at how the cost of living has risen in the United States, $10.10 gets us back to where minimum wage has historically been set frequently in the past," he said. "So we're just saying, give folks enough that they can get by and make going to work worth it."
