The City of Ashland is inviting the public to get back out on the Soo Line Ore Dock for a "Dock n' Brats" event on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Folks can enjoy free brats and rootbeer on a first-come first-serve basis. "Dock n' Brats" will also feature live music by Acoustic Relapse.

The City is also providing a free BART shuttle service to the event. Shuttles will run from Family Video/HMO Harris Bank and the Bay Area Civic Center parking lots. The first shuttle leaves around 4:45 p.m.

While folks are enjoying brats and drinks, the City is also asking for public input on future use of the dock.

Public comments can be submitted at the event, or anytime through September 5 at City Hall, the Vaughn Library, Ashland Chamber of Commerce, the Bretting Center, and various retail locations.

Comments can also be submitted online by visiting the city's website: coawi.org
