1 Injured, 1 Arrested in Sturgeon Lake Shooting

A man was injured and a woman arrested in a shooting in rural Sturgeon Lake Tuesday, according to the Pine County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they responded to a report of a shooting on Farm To Market Road at just after 6 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies said the man told them the wounds were accidentally self-inflicted, but investigation indicated that they were not self-inflicted.

According to the Pine County Sheriff's Office, a 38-year-old woman was arrested for probable cause first-degree assault. She is being held in the Pine County Jail, pending formal charging.

The man was brought to the hospital, where he is in stable but serious condition.
