Attempted Escape at St. Louis County Jail

A burglary suspect briefly escaped custody on Tuesday, while being taken to the St. Louis County Jail.

Sheriff Ross Litman said that the suspect was in custody for burglary. While being taken to the jail, the suspect temporarily escaped.

During the brief time he was on the loose,  the suspect attempted to break into a church on Arrowhead Road.
