Car Accident Near Moose Lake Injures Three People

A serious two vehicle accident on County Road 61 south of Moose Lake brought three people to the hospital Sunday afternoon.

An 87 year old female, Phoebe Benson of Barnum, Minn., turned left on County Road 61 in front of a two passenger vehicle. A 31 year old male, Randy Habisch of Sturgeon Lake, Minn., was the driver of the other vehicle with a 20 year old female, Eryn Zebrasky of Bruno, Minn., as the passenger.

All parties suffered moderate to severe injuries. All three of them were transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake; however, Eryn Zebrasky was later air lifted to North Memorial Hospital in Maple Grove, Minn., and Randy Habisch was transferred by ambulance to St. Lukes.

Neither Habisch nor Zebrasky were wearing a seat belt.

Any criminal charging decisions will be made after reports are completed.
