We normally see Lake Superior from above the surface, but below... exists another world.

A strange and silent world existing just out from our Lake Superior shoreline.
It’s a silent... haunting world. A somber reminder of our pioneering ancestors.

Deep below the surface of the greatest of the great lakes, famous and historic Lake Superior shipwrecks lay at rest. In Part 2 we will focus on Isle Royale and the shipwrecks that have laid to rest of this islands shores.

See spellbinding video from the camera lens of Ken Merryman and other members of the Great Lakes Shipwreck Preservation Society as they venture to the Kamloops, Chester A. Congdon and the SS America.

“When you dive these shipwrecks, part of it is the stories. The stories of sacrifice. Of heroism and of survival," Scuba Cinematographer, Ken Merryman said.

We'll take you on a journey to the bottom of Lake Superior.

    Deputies say there were no injuries in an early morning structure fire in Esko Thursday. Crews responded to the 200 block of Nelson Road around 4:30 a.m. Deputies said the cause of the fire was not suspicious.
