Police have arrested and cited the superintendent of Nashwauk-Keewatin and Greenway schools for allegedly driving drunk.

The report says Mark Adams attended a Fourth of July gathering in Nashwauk and when he stopped at a gas station on the way home, employees say they caught him going to the bathroom on the floor in a back storage area.

Officers went to Adams' home and he told them he was at the gas station and had been drinking earlier in the day. Adams' allegedly refused to do a preliminary breath test.

The superintendent was then cited for fourth-degree DWI and booked into jail.

We reached out to Adams for a comment but have not had a response.
